As your Trustee, I will be your community advocate.  In order to build a strong future for Independence, we need to have a vision for the future. I believe we need a stronger infrastructure, more reliable revenue sources and higher property values.

As foreclosures and plummeting home values have hurt many in our community over the past few years, it has also drastically reduced Township revenues. This has put our township into financial difficulty.  In response there have been many difficult reductions in services or requests for new mileages to pay for the day to day operations of our Township.  Neither of these options are long term solutions for our financial security.  Delaying infrastructure maintenance, eliminating services, and raising taxes above our neighbors will only reduce our home values further.

To provide for a long term solutions, all decisions I make will meet a few simple guiding principles. I will judge and verify all solutions by answering three basic questions.
